It is understood that Lianhua Qingwen is an innovative Chinese medicine for the treatment of influenza developed by the Chinese medicine research team led by Wu Yiling during the "SARS" period in 2003. Its main ingredients include forsythia, honeysuckle, ephedra, bitter almond, gypsum, isatis root, and cotton horse. Guanzhong, Houttuynia cordata, patchouli, rhubarb, rhodiola, menthol, licorice. Currently, Lianhua Qingwen mainly has three dosage forms, namely Lianhua Qingwen Capsules, Lianhua Qingwen Tablets and Lianhua Qingwen Granules. The latter two are prescription drugs, which must be purchased and used according to the prescription; the former are Class A non-prescription drugs, which can be purchased and used through pharmacies.
Clinically, Lianhua Qingwen Capsules are mainly used to treat seasonal colds caused by distemper poisonous pathogens and weak lung guards. It can relieve fever or even high fever, chills, muscle aches, headaches, sneezing, nasal congestion, and fluids. Symptoms such as nasal discharge and cough; it can also be used to treat acute throat numbness caused by feeling wind-heat toxins, and heat toxin accumulates in the throat, and relieves sore throat, dry throat, cough, fever and other symptoms. Patients with influenza and acute pharyngitis can also take it if they have the above symptoms.
